Stoked to run RUFA again tomorrow! Today's beautiful sunny Friday afternoon has me thinking back to another few beautiful sunny afternoons last summer. In Glacier National Park with Sam "Achilles" Linnet, Alexis "Two Bags" Crellin and Emily "Baby Giraffe" Hawgood. Hot damn let's do it again. Really, really excited to share this. I joined Luke Nelson and Dylan Bowman to talk about the intersection of mountain running and climate action on The Freetrail Podcast. We're building Footprints, an incubator for climate action. We believe that the passion and connection to the land trail runners & outdoorspeople have makes for a perfect foundation for effective climate action. Footprints is in Australia! Had a great chat with @alive_adventures of the @adventuresportspodcast about the @snowmanrace in Bhutan, merging outdoor adventures and climate activism, and my trip across GNP this summer exploring some peaks along with my self-sufficiency (and sanity). Back in 2012 I sent @slukenelson an email out of the blue, trying to make a connection. I was just getting into ultrarunning, exploring around the Idaho mountains, and was impressed by his exploits as well as how he carried himself as an environmental advocate with Patagonia. I can't even exactly remember what he wrote back at this point, but it was probably along the lines of, "you're off to a good start kid, keep it up!" Missoula! Do you like mountain adventure stories? How about cat memes? Yeah? Great. No? Get a life. @thatdakotajones just ran 100 miles in under 13 hours. 12:58:02, to be exact, good enough for the men's course record at @javelinajundred . That's stupidly, impressively, mind-bogglingly fast!
